We will all say a silent prayer. Hope this works for a great Canadian company that's developed some great technology so far.

Now if you could just go ahead and do this every time new technology comes out I would much appreciate it. This is where I send people when they have technology rumors or questions.
Thanks!

RIM definately missing the boat. they have created a big black whole for themselves to fall into. I like Blackberrys, but they just have not pushed the boundaries like other manufacturers.

just noticed Samsung is not interested in RIM ;)

used some of everyone's tech...all has its place. Having 100,000 apps from Apple (tried some) is fascinating but useless. How many can I actually use? Don't have time to use the ones I have now but then I'm more interested in function than amusement. Have a Blackberry Playbook and find it very functional for my business work, and has enough apps to keep me amused.

I love Blackberry, I don't care how those Apple-elites brainwashed you ;). But seriously, ANOTHER tablet?!? I don't get quoted in Harvard Business Review (Yet) but I'm pretty sure tablet's are way outside of Blackberry's core competency. Which is building phones for business people. Seems to me they're playing the copycat game and nothing amazing was ever created copying what the competition is doing(talk to Bing).

The bright side is that there was a board shake up the other week so maybe they'll knock some sense into the business strategy arm of RIM because this is just ludicrous that they're investing in tablets, for the second time!

Thanks for the this story, the mobile battle is just beginning.

Android the operating system has no affect on the phones failing.
The phones failing are hardware issues; has nothing to do with Android.m

I prefer Android myself just because of the open-ness of it. However, thats like comparing Apples to Apples (PUN!). They both (iPhone and Android) do the exact same thing in the exact same way.

Hopefully Apple doesn't go backwards without Steve though. Wouldn't it be funny if the iPhone5 was orange and clear plastic? (Remember the old imacs pre Steve?)

RIP RIM. We had some good times.
