How often do you change your password?

I posted an article about how hacking is portrayed in the movies, today we’ll talk about how for the most part its actually done.
There are more complicated ways to hack networks and websites, but this is a very common and easier way.
You as a network user may not know it, but you are the more so the gate keeper to your companies network than the administrator is.
Here’s how easy it is to hack a network.
A hacker calls a companies receptionist
“Hi, I calling from Acme computers, you have a virus on your computer”
“oh no! What do I do!”
“Give me you username and confirm your password so I can remotely connect to your mailbox, this way I can confirm if you are sending more virus’ out to other users”
“Sure ##### ####.”
“I’ll look into this and get back to you”
It’s that easy. People generally give out their wifi passwords too easily as well, once a hacker has someone’s network password and your wifi, they don’t even need to get into your building to access your network.
Changing your password atleast once a month can prevent these issues from becoming a major problem, hackers will post this information for others to use for themselves.
It’s just that easy!
Click here for a good example of what you can do with this information.
